Posterous has been the place for all my blogs. Not that I was a very active blogger, but still. I liked the ease of use, the designs, the community and everything around it. Posterous has done very well, and for that they have recently been rewarded by being acquired by Twitter. I congratulate the founders and their team very much and am very curious how they will enrich Twitter. I am also afraid, that they will abandon the Posterous platform. The following quote was enough for me to grab my stuff and move to the new and upgraded Blogger, integrated with Google+.
Posterous Spaces will remain up and running without disruption. We’ll give users ample notice if we make any changes to the service. For users who would like to back up their content or move to another service, we’ll share clear instructions for doing so in the coming weeks.
Time will tell, but for now, I am a happy camper at this place. I still have to a bit of cleaning up, because the transition was only partly successful. Posts and comments went 99% well, but images and Youtube links went wrong. I have done the recent ones already and will clean the rest in the upcoming days.
And last but not least, my goal is to upgrade my blogging frequency. My second goal is to work on interaction, and I know that is dependent on the quality of the content.
