Tonight I got totally inspired by the concept of Tau, which is 2Pi.
I am not trying to convince you myself because I can not do that as well as Michael Hartl. But the simple fact that Pi is based on the circumference of a circle divided by it’s diameter, whereas it’s diameter is not what is the most important in a circle, that is the radius. So if you do the math you will see that the circumference divided by the radius gives another constant, namely Tau, which is not incidental two times Pi. Michael Hartl uses a lot more proof that Tau is a better constant and for that I want to refer you to his Tau manifesto or just watch his fantastic lecture:
Of course I am 14 days late for this years TauDay on 6/28, but it will be there next year again. And as I learned from the lecture: on TauDay you can eat 2 Pi ;-)
