Apple appears to have started prompting iOS devices owners and those with Apple IDs within iTunes to make their accounts more secure, requiring them to pick three security questions and enter their answers when they download a new app.
This is good news. It is proving that Apple is taking their job seriously. After the hack on Mat Honan, and my warning before that, I think it is a good thing that Apple is tightening it’s security. We don’t know if the phone back-door is still closed. But if it is, Apple is getting a bit more secure. I would still prefer some kind of 2-step authentication. My Google account feels more secure than any other account because of it. So Apple, follow Dropbox and enhance your security a bit more. Although I would prefer it a bit more tighter like Google does.
